From manual editor-work, to automated updates
Arctic Hub wanted a more structured, user-friendly site with a modern look and feel. The website was cluttered and difficult to navigate, with multiple menus and rigid components requiring excessive manual work - such as manually updating a news roulette instead of it auto-fetching the latest articles.
Retaining the existing technology
Since this was an enhancement rather than a full revamp, we retained the existing technology and setup in WordPress. Together with Arctic Hub, we identified key areas for improvement and refined them.
Then we led a design sprint in close collaboration with the team in Greenland, with the goal of creating a more modern and engaging user experience for the Arctic Hub website. Updates included a more sharp use of the colour palette, fonts and images, as well as making the navigation come to life with animations.

The solution
Time zone difference between Denmark and Greenland
Not everything was handed over from the previous provider, so despite a sneak peek into the code, we had to rebuild some of the elements in WordPress from scratch.
Additionally, the time zone difference between Denmark and Greenland required extra coordination, as the entire team wasn’t always available at the same time.
WordPress multisite
The result is a redesigned WordPress multisite with improved components, better navigation, and a modern look, making the Arctic Hub platform more intuitive and engaging.
