A mission-critical challenge
Female Invest approached us with a mission-critical challenge: their fast-growing global community depended on an app that struggled with crashes, slow development cycles, and unstable performance. These issues limited their ability to innovate, bring new features to market, and support their mission of empowering women financially.
Meanwhile the ambitions for new feature releases in 2025 were massive, and Female Invest didn’t have enough in-house developers to reach the tight deadlines. They needed a strong technical partner to work closely with their team and lead stabilisation of the product. Preparing it for, as well as and delivering on the next major evolution of the platform.
Working as one combined team
We formed one unified development team together with Female Invest’s internal engineers, working collaboratively on a shared roadmap.
The joint vision was threefold:
1. Deliver a stable, high-quality version of the app that users could rely on every day.
2. Lay the technical and architectural foundation for Female Invest 3.0: a world-class financial learning app that is actionable, social, inspiring, and personalised.
3. Deliver on the new Female Invest 3.0 roadmap.
While Female Invest led the design direction and future product vision, Abtion led the technical execution needed to make that vision realistically achievable.

Significant product transformation
Parallel tracks and ambitious deadlines
The core challenge was to stabilise an existing codebase while simultaneously preparing for a significant upcoming product transformation - and then build upon it.
Our focus included React Native development for iOS and Android, performance and code quality improvements, strengthened API integrations, and optimised the app’s internal structure - all while keeping the live app running smoothly for users.
Consistently strong App Store ratings
The app now runs on a far stronger technical foundation: more stable performance, and scalable. This is reflected in consistently strong App Store ratings and increased user trust.
The improved architecture, code quality, and stable development velocity enabled us as one team to confidently build toward the 3.0 vision: an engaging, interactive, and community-driven financial education platform.
